Welcome to Relik

Millennia ago the continent of Relik was broken off from the rest of the world and transported to unknown space where the people of the continent were forcefully isolated inside a bubble of void space.

Relik was once a large peninsula that was a part of a vast peaceful kingdom made up of many races that's been long forgotten. Centuries of discontent and lack of resources has left infighting among the many races of the continent. Strangely enough, a massive sprawling dungeon was found after the split from the rest of the world that wasn't there before. This dungeon is made up of many floors and each one contains resources that the people above need very much. In order to fight for control of the resources, many races broke apart from the masses and formed their own countries on Relik. Furthermore, the two most powerful kingdoms are the Demon Empire and the Humanity Alliance. Due to some cruel fate, these two countries are always fighting between each other for the resources that are below Relik’s surface. The war between these two countries have caused many other races that live on Relic succumb to slavery or flee to hide among the forests, vallies, and canyons.

Races:

Humans -
The most populous race on Relik, what they make up for weakness in individual strength they make up for in numbers and intelligence.

Beastmen -
The unholy matrimony between human and demon a millennia ago. A beastly race that's hunted by humans and elves and seen as heretical monstrosities. They look no different than humans only with animal-like characteristics. They hold honor and kinship highly amongst each other.

Elves -
By far the most intelligent race and according to themselves the only ones who know about the great split of Relik from a millenia ago. Cunning and cold, Elves look down on all the other races and believe the fighting between the demons and humans is immature. They side with humans though when it comes to war.

Demons -
The demon race is by far the strongest race on all of Relik. What they lack in numbers that make up for with raw strength and magical prowess. Ruled by the Demon Lord, they fight ruthlessly to control the dungeons below the surface. Some say they wanted peace between the races before the assasination of the first demon lord.

Hybrids -
Less dense races that contain intelligent monsters that roam Relic terrorizing villages and cities. Lack bonds between each other but are ideal lone wolves. Made up of sell swords and mercenaries. Hybrids are most commonly known to be the result of forbidden love between races such as the Beastman.

Latrik -
A race of angelic creatures that have no human form, only two are known to exist and proclaim themselves as the gods of the world. They're only ever mentioned in manuscripts.

Magic and Experience:

Tier I Magic - Basic
Magic that can perform small results such as heating and wet.

Tier II Magic - Beginner
Spells such as Lesser Fire ball and Gust. Used by mages mostly in combat.

Tier III Magic - Intermediate
Spells such as Fire Bolt, Shock, Engulf. Dangerous magic that high mages wield in service of their leaders.

Tier IV Magic - Healing Magic
By far the most strived for magic. Choosing Tier III magic closes off the path to healing magic permanently though and is only sought after by healers, and priests.

Tier V Magic - Mastery Magic
The mastery of magic capable of wiping out armies or healing even fatal wounds and diseases. This magic takes years of studying but some cunning individuals have found a way around this roadblock.

Tier VI Magic - Grand Magic
Exclusive to only the Demon Lord and the Hero who both have Latrik blood running through there veins. Is the only magic that can utilize both Tier III and IV magic at higher yields.

Tier VII Magic - Redacted Magic
The power to kill the demon lord or hero.


Experience:

Experience is earned in a plethora of ways such as cooking tasty meals (minor), killing monsters or each other, conquering dungeon floors, and slaying cataclysmic horrors. Another method which has corrupted the Humanity Alliance to its core is sexual intercourse. The result of a gods evil wishes, rape, torture, amd murder has become rampant in not only the human cities and villages but around the continent of Relik. The high yield of experience that allows for an individual to level up through depraved acts must have been some cruel or misinterpreted misunderstand from the gods. The royalty of The Human Alliance are by far the worst offenders of this.

Present Day Relik:

The newest hero has been summoned to the world with no memory of her past life and a belief that the humanity alliance is fighting for something good and pure. Her naivety makes her a target to many and her body leaves very little to the imagination. Although she is powerful, she is inexperienced. She's currently under the protection of the royal family for now. She has begun her training to take on the demon lord and find the hidden treasure at the depths of the dungeon.
